I'm the video guy at Fourkast.com. I spent a lot of my spring break going through hundreds of gigs of hacky videos and now plan to finally upload some thematic player spotlights in Fourkast's video section. On account of Asmus Helms' recent Honza Weber interview and smash-hit new video, I decided to start with him. Spread the word. More to come. Mayhap a weekly spotlight.

Congrats to Manna for making this appearance in a local hip hop artist's music video:

Also, as a heads up, in the near future Blogger is going to stop supporting off-site blogging. This means our main feed here and blogs will go poof. Will try to keep you posted on this.

Short video from today. Haven't played since summer:

Sunday, October 25, 2009
Injury, autumn, and school hinder shred. Hackrifice 11 back in September went over quite well. Thanks to Manna for throwing that together this year and Andrew for dinner et al. Huge ups to ShrEdmonton for loyally committing to the cause for another blessed consecutive year.

On a sparse update, downloads for the latest 3 ("AprilShred" is over footbag.org's limit, so that one will wait a bit) Hackrifice videos are now available in the 2009 video section. Hopefully we'll have another treat in the near future from earlier this summer, including Manna busting nemesis...

I just added a "Live Webcam" page to the Videos section, with an embedded copy of our UStream sessions. I want to try this out and see how it works. The only problem I can foresee at the moment is that for users who actually log in to UStream (so that everyone knows who they are (instead of "ustreamer75843")), they would have to go open the Ustream site separately. Also it would be neat to have a little light-up image that tells when we are online, that could maybe go on the main page of the site...

We'll try this on Saturday and see how it goes.
Tune in around 6 PM CST.

Andrew is in Australia chasing surf, sunshine and of course some good spots to kick. Read all about his travels in the "blogs" section of the site!

It's been a while.
Here is a new MOTW video from Manna:
Far swirl > reverse swirl [repeat]

Sunday, December 28, 2008
Wishing you the best for the holiday season and into the new year. Happy holidays from all of us at Hackrifice. Go easy on the eggnog this year... ok?

Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Finally some new MOTW vids.
I was gonna just post one and save the others for when we inevitably fall behind again, but I already spoiled the surprise by posting the tricks in my blog. Oh well. Next time. For your visual feasting pleasure:
1) Alpine fog, by Andrew
2) Fairy dolomite, by Andrew
3) Fairy same revup, by Manna

Oh, and a bonus of one-shots by all of us. We had a really crappy session... (Though my own one-shot wasn't bad): One shots (Andrew, Manna, Erik).

New video [for the Modified Christmas Calendar 2008]: Day 12 [103mb|14:50min]
Happy Christmas!

(Also, while I'm at it, our apologies for the lack of MOTW and other such updates. It's rough with just two active players lately. Hopefully this long video makes up.)

New video.
We're on a roll!
Manna and me from last night's jam: Hackrifice20081025-e+m(octshred).wmv [30mb | 3:42min]
(YouTube)

Sorry for the messed up music. My bloody program does this. I spent, like, an hour trying to manually edit out all of the skips, which usually works, and at the time of editing it was perfect, but then all crashed to hell after exporting.

It's that time of the week again!
That's right! MOTW attack!
-Fairy ducking butterfly swirl, by Manna. (Umm, yeah, my bad for obscuring the camera again...)
-Gyro diving mirage > pixie reverse whirl [repeat], by Erik.
-Stepping reverse whirl > reverse whirlygig [repeat], by Erik.

(And YouTube)

Saturday, October 04, 2008
If anybody wants an RSS feed for the site, they can tell me how to set that up, because I'm not gonna stress myself out trying to figure it out on my own anymore.

Friday, October 03, 2008
Whew!
Well I finally finished posting all of the links for every of the 300-some shred videos in the video section. So those of you who were looking for specific Hackrifice videos from the years 2003 and 2004, they are now available here! (My poor fingers hurt from so much mouse-clicking...) Every single video on the site should now be up and running. Please, as always, leave a comment if you notice a glitch or broken link. Thanks!

After a spur-of-the-moment lunge into redesigning Hackrifice.com, we have just arrived at Hackrifice version 6.0 in a 24-hour bout against sleep and sanity. Hurray! The hope is that the website becomes not only more functional and pretty, but also more interactive and frequently updated via blogging and commenting. Please leave us some feedback; it would be greatly appreciated! Leave a comment here or send out an email to Erik (though "@hackrifice.com" email forwards unfortunatly are presently out of order).

Thank you to everyone for all of the support and kind words over the past 10 years! You've made us stars!
